Weekend tips of week 49
Palace Fun Slide
Last week I already shared with you the Cool Event in Scheveningen. On the Kurhausplein you can put on your skates every day and practice your pirouettes on the ice rink. However, last night something was added to this event. A real ice slide! On the boulevard of Scheveningen you will find the Palace Fun Slide.
A 30 meter long ice slide where you can slide down with a tire. Last year this track was there for the first time and we used it a number of times. Highly recommended for young and old.
Every day until January 17 you can enjoy the Cool Event. For all information and opening hours check the website.
Saltmarket on the Pier
Regularly you can find a nice market in the weekend tips. Often these are lifestyle markets. The Saltmarket is also a hip lifestyle market. This time the Saltmarket takes place on the Pier in Scheveningen on Sunday, December 6.
From 11 am you will find various exhibitors on the pier. From vintage to wine, organic skin products to clothing and from bags to crafts. For example, you can make fun snow globes with the kids or enjoy a nice wine at one of the many catering establishments. This event is free to enter and indoors so even in bad weather it will be fun.

Sinterklaas waving goodbye in Hoek van Holland
Sunday the best man will leave again with his entire entourage, back to Spain. For many parents this is a relief. To convince the children that Sinterklaas is really over you can go and wave him off together.
On Sunday 6 December you can see him off in Hoek van Holland. By means of a lantern procession you accompany Saint and his Pieten to the harbor. In the harbor Piet Pablo will give a spectacular performance and then the boat will wave goodbye. The boat sails at 17.45h out of the harbor during a fireworks show.
Totally fun anyway? A great way to end the Saint Nicholas period. For exact times and locations please check the website of Sinterklaas in Hoek van Holland.
Where can you be found this weekend? Busy with Christmas Eve or will you be doing more fun stuff?
