Weekend tips of week 41 Children's Book Week

Since it is Kinderboekenweek, this week's weekend tips are related to this. There are many fun things to do in the region related to the children's book week. So you can go to a big Children's Book Festival and you can make a dream playground at the Children's Book Museum.

Great Unmissable Hague Children's Book Festival

On the Spui in The Hague on Sunday from 12.00 o'clock at the Central Library for the Great Unmissable Children's Book Festival. Quite a mouthful but it promises to be a fun afternoon. You can go here for free and do not need to be a member of the library. You will find various performances that afternoon.

So you can watch and join the performance Three Hare Hopeladie for children from 2 years or older Bucket for children from 4 years. There are also several workshops for children. There will also be stalls where you can buy the latest books or get information. Everything is of course related to the children's book week. This promises to be a very fun afternoon.

For the complete list of activities take a look at the Central Library website.

Children's Book Week

Also in Rotterdam there will be a great Children's Book Week party on Sunday. From 12.00 to 17.00uur is the party on the Hoogstraat with a full program. Various authors will be present to read aloud, sign books or even give a real workshop. You can make a mega drawing, make a musical instrument, make a pop-up card or participate in a theater workshop. There is also a 3d scan present.

You can even buy a statue of your own head. How funny is that? In addition there are performances for young and old and you can participate in fun craft activities.

Look for all the information on the website of the library.

Children's Book Museum

In The Hague you can find a great museum for children. I went there last year with the little man. The Children's Book Museum is an interactive museum with exhibitions to suit all ages. The little ones can visit the ABC with the animals climb and clamber through books like Miffy, Caterpillar Never Enough and Frog.

Here they discover books and sounds, words and letters through play. The Frog exhibition is also great fun for small children. Here you will be taken through the illustrations and characters from Max Velthuis' famous books.

Here too, children can play and explore. The Children's Book Museum is great fun to visit during Children's Book Week. For all the information you can take a look at the Children's Book Museum website.
