Weekend tips from week 34

The last weekend of the summer vacation is just around the corner. Monday schools start again and our little man goes to playschool again. Just one more weekend to enjoy the idea that it is vacation. Luckily we have nice weather and there are plenty of fun things to do in the region.

Time for Week 34’s weekend tips.

Westland Reunion Naaldwijk

The last week of the summer vacations is always party week in Naaldwijk. My favorite party week of the region. This year, however, I am heavily pregnant so I am enjoying it from the sidelines. However, you can still enjoy a fun day with lots of activities on Saturday.

The whole day there are activities in and around the center of Naaldwijk. You can, for example, start with a round of fair from 11am. Then walk right by the children’s flea market and kid’s square on Prins Hendrikstraat. The fair opens at 1 p.m. on the Verdilaan and Sibelius. At 14.30h you can enjoy the fashion show on the Wilhelminaplein, it is promised that it will include a spectacular break.

I am curious.
Furthermore, throughout the afternoon and evening there is the opportunity to enjoy various performances, bands and dj’s. These are distributed on the various stages in the center. For the entire program I refer you to the website of the Naaldwijk Festivities. Andne.. Drink one for me! 😉

Fireworks Festival Scheveningen

Friday and Saturday evening in Scheveningen you can enjoy the last weekend of the Fireworks Festival. The first weekend was last week and this was good for 180.000 visitors. Very successful so. On Friday, August 21 starts at 21.45h the fireworks show of Italy. Followed by the show of the Netherlands at 22.30u.

All this you can admire from the boulevard in Scheveningen. Saturday, August 22 is the last night of the fireworks festival. This one is kicked off by China at 21.45h and followed by Spain’s fireworks show at 22.30u.

Both days are definitely worth a look.

Wickie, the musical

Who doesn’t know him, Wickie the Viking?. The cartoon dates back to the seventies, currently an updated version can be seen on NL3 and there are also several film adaptations. Studio 100 now presents a real family musical.

This musical is suitable for ages 3 and up and is playing in the Luxor Theater in Rotterdam. Personally, I always really enjoy going to the theater with the little guy. He always enjoys himself so he would also love this musical.

This weekend you can see Wickie three times, in case you can’t get enough of it. There are still tickets available so if you fancy an enjoyable cultural outing, go quickly to the website to buy tickets.

I wish you a very nice and sunny weekend!
