Weekend tips of week 40
Last summer vacation I started posting weekend tips on Fridays. I thought this section would be gone by now. However, there are still very nice activities taking place every weekend so I can still share tips with you.
This weekend you can shoot at the police, snowboard and of course it is also animal day.
Weekend tips
112 day Westland
On Saturday you can visit the Vierschaar 1 for the 112dag. On the grounds of the police station and behind driving school Don you will get a look behind the scenes of the police, the fire department and the rescue team, among others. From 10.00h till 17.00h you can take a look everywhere and you will be treated to spectacular demonstrations. Throughout the day there will be fire department competitions for the various volunteer corps.
The animal ambulance will also be present. Around 14.A parade of American vehicles will even arrive at the police station at 00h00. Do you dare to take a look in the cell and at the fire department?
From previous years I know it will be extremely crowded, so take your bike and go.
Animal Shelter Open Days
Next Sunday is Animal Day. As a true animal lover I will of course not let this go unnoticed. Every year around animal day you can take a look in the various animal shelters.
Also this year you can look behind the scenes at the animal shelters in Vlaardingen and The Hague.Saturday in Vlaardingen you can take a look at the open day of the Animal home Nieuwe Waterweg. They have between 10.00h and 16.00hours various workshops, a washing action and even a games course for dogs. At the Haagsdierencentrum you can visit the animal shelter on Sunday from 11.00uur to 17.00 o'clock. Here you can see how things work in the animal shelter and there are fun activities.
Both open days are great fun for kids and of course you support the animals as well.
Winter opening Snowworld
With the nice weather you do not easily think of cold, snow and glühwein but on Saturday October 3rd and Sunday October 4th the winter sports season will be opened in Snowworld Zoetermeer. This means that for two days there are lots of fun activities for young and old. From 11am you can attend ski and snowboard competitions, freestyle clinics, tastings, shopping and from 11.30h you can participate in free trial classes. The children are also thought of.
There is a winter show by a clown, you can make apple strudel, do crafts, face painting, jump on the bouncy castle and tubeglide. Children ages 4 and up can participate in free trial lessons in skiing and 8 and up in snowboarding. For children from 3 years and older the Burton Riglet Park is located near the terrace of Snowworld.
Here children aged 3 to 6 can climb on a snowboard for the first time and learn about the sport.
Will you go for one of the weekend tips? Look for the cold or enjoy the sunshine a little longer?
