Weekend tips from week

It's a hot sunny Friday so time again for week 27's weekend tips. The sun is showing itself a lot again for now so we'll stick to weekend tips that will take place mostly outside. Even one where you can cool off in the water.

So read on if you want to do something else than sit in the pool with a drink this weekend.

Maasland caravan festival

I had never heard of it but the Caravanfeest is already in its fourth edition. This festival takes place Saturday, July 4 at the Parallelweg 1a in Maasland. The place to be if you like music, entertainment, show and moped pulling. Saturday afternoon is free to the whole family. The ‘Brommertrek’ is then held.

This is a race in which you have to pull a tow truck as fast as possible with your moped, motorcycle or self-built vehicle. Guarantee spectacle and noise. In the afternoon there will even be a swimming pool, a bouncy castle, a go-kart race and more activities for children.

All this takes place from 12.00 to 19.00u. More information about this spectacle can be found on the website of the Caravan Festival.

North sea jazz kids

North Sea Jazz starts up again next week. A three day Jazz gestival in Rotterdam. This Sunday kicks off with a kids edition in the Rotterdam Schouwburg. North Sea Jazz Kids is designed to introduce kids to jazz. There are several workshops given, such as percussion and dance.

There are also music performances for children from 2 years upwards. These performances are interactive so even toddlers can enjoy the music. A great day out if you want something different or just love music. This day can be experienced from 10.30 to 17.00u.

Tickets are on sale on the website of the Rotterdam Schouwburg.

Plaswijckpark

One of the weekend tips that is actually always fun is Plaswijckpark in Rotterdam. This park has everything that makes a day out a top day for young and old. In the Speelwijck you will find many playgrounds.

Indoor and outdoor, for big and small children. A traffic garden with go-karts and even a harbor playground in the water. The latter is very suitable with this hot weather. In Dierenwijck you will find a real zoo that is particularly well maintained.

You can find many different animals such as lynx, owls, monkeys, birds and goats. Really worth a visit for animal lovers. In Wandelwijck you can relax or have a picnic. You can stroll through beautiful gardens. Furthermore plaswijckpark has enough facilities to eat something or enjoy a refreshing drink.

This tremendously fun outing is open daily during the summer months from 10.00 to 19.00u. More information and the exact location can be found on the site of Plaswijckpark.

So there is again plenty to do in the region. Of course, with this lovely weather you can also have a super good time in your garden, on your balcony, at the beach or pool. Coming right up this weekend!

What are you going to do? Have a nice weekend!!
