Weekend tips
We have great weather! Nice sunshine, little breeze on the coast, perfect for doing fun things with, or without, the kids this weekend. Every Friday I will share with you fun weekend tips for the Westland region.
Especially in the summer months there is always something to do somewhere.
Friday 12 and Saturday 13 June the Logger Festival takes place in Vlaardingen. This is a harbor festival that takes place around the harbors of Vlaardingen. Especially the Saturday is very suitable for children.
Around the Westhavekade there is a fair, a demonstration of marine engines, workshops and food stands. Furthermore, there will be various children’s activities such as a children’s fair, survival course, bouncy castles, circus school and a balloon clown. Enough to see and do.

Every Saturday morning you and your kids can pick raspberries at Plukkerij Framblij in Monster. After picking you checkout and you can enjoy some more in the tea garden. For children very nice because there are also bunnies running free. Raspberry picking is also possible every Wednesday afternoon with the kids.
Bring a bowl from home and enjoy it!
Sunday 14 June there is a nice Ibiza fair on the beach at Elements Beach. A real hippie market on the beach of ‘s-Gravenzande. This hippie market is always at different locations and is now coming to Westland.
Ibiza Delight takes place from 10.00 to 18.00u.
There is also the annual Flag Day in Scheveningen on Sunday 14 June. A day full of stands, demonstrations, music and of course herring tasting. There is even a real children’s herring tasting room. Kids can make their own snacks with herring and of course taste the herring here. I wonder which kids are cool enough to taste a salty herring.
